The Applet preserves its main class, JAR files, dimensions, and startup parameters exactly as originally defined. On small screens, the area allows horizontal scrolling so the original resolution of 800 × 600 pixels is not modified.

Applet detection
Phoenix AWR recognizes the applet tag, the jdos.gui.MainApplet class, and the libraries declared in the archive attribute.

Automatic preparation
The runtime downloads JDosbox, Javassist, and the game package while preserving the original addresses specified by the publication.

Parameterized startup
The parameters mount the Quake image as drive C, switch to that drive, and start quake.exe inside the emulated DOS environment.

Phoenix AWR runs JDosbox with Quake 1
This demonstration proves that Phoenix AWR, a product developed by MC3D, can load and execute an Applet based on JDosbox, download the game image, and ultimately start Quake 1 inside the emulated DOS environment.
Phoenix AWR loads JDosbox
Phoenix AWR interprets the Applet publication, loads jdosbox.jar and javassist, and prepares the Java runtime required to execute the emulator.
Phoenix AWR delivers Quake to JDosbox
Phoenix AWR preserves and passes the quake.zip download parameter to JDosbox, together with the instructions required to mount the game image as a DOS drive.
Phoenix AWR starts Quake 1
Once JDosbox has started, Phoenix AWR preserves the original parameters that switch to drive C and execute quake.exe, demonstrating complete game execution through a Java Applet.
Demonstration result
Phoenix AWR → Java Applet → JDosbox → Quake 1. The demonstration does not present JDosbox as an MC3D product: it shows that Phoenix AWR is capable of running a complex Java application that, in turn, emulates DOS and runs a real video game.
